Li Appointed School’s First-Ever Associate Chair

Haizheng Li has been appointed the first associate chair for the School of Economics.

Li, a professor who joined the School in 1997, will continue as chair of the Review, Promotion and Tenure Committee for the current year.

Li received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Colorado-Boulder and specializes in applied econometrics, labor economics, and the Chinese economy.

In 2021, he received the Mary S. and Richard B Inman Jr. Faculty Excellence Award from the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts.

His most recent journal article, “Policy Initiatives, Self-Sorting, and Labor Market Effects of Tertiary Education for Adult Workers,” was published this year in the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization.
