School of Economics Merit Scholarships
The School of Economics annually awards a number of scholarships. To be eligible for one of these scholarships, a student must be a declared Economics, Economics and International Affairs, or Global Economics and Modern Languages major and have completed twelve semester hours of economics. Selection is based on merit, defined in terms of academic performance as well as leadership and involvement in Institute and School of Economics activities and organizations.
Joel V. O’Neal Scholarship
This scholarship of up to $1,000 is awarded each spring for the following academic year to an undergraduate student majoring in Economics, Economics and International Affairs, or Global Economics and Modern Languages. Applications are due by May 31st and recipients will be notified by June 30th each year. Please turn in completed applications to Tony Gallego in the School of Economics office.
ODE members who are B.S. students majoring in ECON, EIA or GEML are eligible to apply for up to $1,000 in tuition and fees (must join two semesters prior to graduation) or up to $500 towards tuition and fees (must join one semester prior to graduation). Applications are due by May 31st for the following Fall semester or October 1st for the following Spring semester. Please turn in completed applications to Tony Gallego in the School of Economics office.
