I've held a few different positions throughout my career, but writing and storytelling have been a common thread. I have written for National Geographic, BBC Future, The Guardian, The Boston Globe, International Living, Cincinnati Refined, and many other publications. In addition, more than 1.5 million people have visited my travel blog since I launched it in 2017. Now, I work in communications at Georgia Tech, where I tell student, faculty, and research stories on topics as varied as Covid-19, climate change, and the history of computers. I also love traveling and have lived in 11 countries over four years as a digital nomad. After some time in Atlanta, I returned to my Midwest roots in Milwaukee, WI, where I live today.
