Three faculty members in the School of Economics were awarded 2022 IAC Small Grants for Research (SGR).

SGR awards are open to proposals in any area of research, and cross-School collaborative proposals are encouraged. This year:

  • Associate Professor Matthew Oliver received $4,500 for his project "Wind Generation and the Electricity Supply-Demand Balance: Evidence from US Regional Power Markets."
  • Professor Tibor Besedes received $11,500 for his project, "Social Norms and the Consumption of Eco-Labeled Products.”
  • And Assistant Professor Dylan Brewer received $5,000 for his project "Compliance and Defiance with Emergency Orders: Evidence from Texas Smart Thermostat Data.”

We look forward to seeing more of these exciting projects!
