Join the School of Economics at Georgia Tech for the Midwest International Trade & Theory Conference

November 10–12, 2023

Location: Georgia Institute of Technology

The Midwest Economic Theory and International Trade meetings are two conferences side-by-side: an economic theory conference and an international trade conference. These high-quality conferences have a long tradition dating back more than 40 years and attract academics from around the world with up to 40% of presenters traveling from outside the U.S.

Conference Programs

The Fall 2023 Midwest Economic Theory and International Trade Meetings will be held Nov. 10–12 at the Georgia Institute of Technology, in Atlanta, GA. There is no submission fee and no registration fee.

Check-in and breaks will take place in the atrium of the research wing of the Klaus Advanced Computing Building. All sessions will take place in the classroom wing of Klaus. Trade sessions will take place in rooms 2443, 2447, and 2456, while theory sessions will take place in rooms 1447 and 1456.

Conference Details

Registration: There is NO fee for registration or submission of papers. Register to attend the conference.

Location: Klaus Advanced Computing Building

Find your way around campus.

Airport: Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport

Airport Transportation: Taxi, Uber, Lyft, or car rental.

Parking: Visitors to the Klaus Advanced Computing Building should park at the State Street Visitor’s Lot at the intersection of Ferst Drive and State Street on campus. The cost is $2.00 per hour, payable by cash or card in advance.

Hotel Information: A block of rooms is available at the Georgia Tech Hotel. The booking deadline is Oct. 19, 2023. For additional nights outside the conference block (Nov. 9-12) please contact the hotel directly at 800-706-2899.

Unfortunately, the Georgia Tech Hotel no longer has availability for the night of Friday, Nov. 10. 

There are a number of other hotels close to Georgia Tech's campus. Visit the Georgia Tech Alumni Association or the Georgia Tech Campus Travel page listings for additional hotel options. Some hotels offer a preferred rate to campus visitors, so we recommend calling to make a reservation.
